Design in Oslo
A slow summer guide to Oslo’s most inspiring design shops—curated stops for those who love interiors, atmosphere, and beautiful things.
There’s something special about Oslo in July. The city slows down. Locals head to seaside cabins, mountain retreats, or travel abroad—and what’s left behind is a calm, almost secret version of the capital. It’s quieter, softer, easier to fall in love with.
I lived in Oslo for years, and summer is still my favorite season here. The streets feel more spacious, life moves a little slower, and you suddenly have time to notice things—like the beautiful storefronts you usually rush past.
In this new series, I’ll share some of my favorite spots in the city. We’ll start with the interior design shops—those places that spark inspiration and remind you why you love beautiful things. Maybe you’ll leave with a treasure, or maybe just the feeling of having discovered something worth remembering.
