Strenght, Warmth & Purpose

The design embraces a raw and honest material palette at Haugaland’s main fire station — exposed concrete walls meet warm wood, soft textures and a varied colour scheme inspired by firefighting terminology and the surrounding landscape. Black detailing echoes the building’s facade and ties the interior elements together.

The interior concept was developed through a user-driven process to define a workplace that supports collaboration across departments while ensuring zones for focus and calm.

A key ambition was sustainability through reuse. Existing loose furniture was carefully mapped and reintegrated, with new items added only where necessary to complete the overall composition
